So-called “community aliens” were outside the “Volksgemeinschaft”. They were people with supposed or actual behavioral disorders and mental illnesses, juvenile delinquents, homeless people, alcoholics, prostitutes, homosexuals and Sinti and Roma. They were victims of forced sterilization, were locked up in welfare facilities and, often enough, in concentration camps, and were among the early victims of “euthanasia” once the war broke out.
