Faith and Right Conduct

A reference to faith is likewise in and of itself no guarantee of right conduct: Christian contemporaries, who invoked their own religious tradition, disapproved of the Weimar Republic and considered the abolishment of “authority” and the “rule of the masses” rebellion against the order of creation, a manifestation of selfish human beings’ sinfulness.
