Gollwitzer was disarmed by Czech partisans on May 11, 1945 and brought to Tábor internment camp. He was transported to Russia one month later. After two other camps, he was taken to Camp 27/I in Krasnogorsk in June of 1947. There, he gave various lectures including the “Question of Guilt”. He was taken to a camp in Western Siberia at the end of March 1949 and later to a camp in the Urals.
